The 2022 November Numeracy Challenge is a fun-filled and free online mathematics competition for all schools.
Students can earn points for your school by playing Live Mathletics during the event. Everyone can contribute points no matter their level!
Schools get free full access to Mathletics for 2 weeks* so they can sharpen their mathematical skills and explore all the awesome learning tools. And the best part is, we set everything up for you!

Prize packs are awarded to the top 10 schools, based on the highest average of participation points. Encourage your whole school to compete!
This competition is open to all schools with or without a Mathletics subscription. Schools must be registered for the competition to be eligible for prizes.
Winners will be determined by the highest average of total Live Mathletics points in a school. This will be calculated by taking the total number of Live Mathletics points divided by the total number of registered students in the school.
To allow fair competition between schools of different sizes, school points are calculated on an “average points per student” basis. For example, a school of 200 registered students scores a total of 1,000,000 points during the competition. Their league table ranking would be based on an average of 5,000 points per student.
Please note: Points earned through any other Mathletics activities are NOT included in the competition points.
Points from Live Mathletics will be awarded to students individually and are only recorded throughout the competition period listed below:
Monday 21 November 2022 00:01 am (AEST) – Competition opens
Friday 25 November 2022 11:59 pm (AEST) – Competition ends
Students earn 1 point per correct answer, or 2 points if they have selected their bonus level.
There will be prizes for the top 10 schools.
Once the November Numeracy Challenge 2022 has ended, all results will be verified. Upon completion of verification, the winners will be announced on the Numeracy November Challenge website under the Hall of Fame section and via email. All results as determined by the Mathletics team are final.

To see how many Live Maths points your students are earning, click Reports and then Effort and participation. You’ll see a snapshot of total Live Maths points at the top of your page.
In the table below the snapshot, you can see Live Maths points for each student. This is perfect for some friendly class competition over the week of the challenge.

Yes, they certainly can! From the Admin Console, simply click Admin reports and Student Reports.
