Mathseeds is designed for learners aged 3-9.

Yes,  Mathseeds can be used independently by students in and out of class. You can also use it as a front of class demonstration or group learning tool.

Yes, Mathseeds caters to a variety of student learning abilities.  You can create ability groups within your class and assign differentiated work to individual students based on their ability level.

Mathseeds uses a mix of extrinsic and intrinsic motivators, including:

• Certificates: awarded once students have attained a certain number of points.
• Interactive activities designed to engage students from the moment they enter the program.
• Students earn points (golden acorns) as they progress through the program.  They can use these to purchase items in the Mathseeds shop to add to their Treehouse.
• Visible progress tracking: students can see their development as they advance through the program, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.
• Students can also unlock additional educational games.

Yes.  Mathseeds contains a range of workbooks and worksheets that you can print off and use with your class. These can be found in the ‘Teacher Toolkit’ are of your Mathseeds teacher console.

No, but you can use the program on selected iPads, Android tablets, and mobile phones through a web browser. Visit our tech support page to find out more.

If you are having technical difficulties, our technical team may need to know your computer’s settings in order to best help you. Click this link to access an automated website that will check your system’s settings and display them on screen. (Don’t worry, it won’t access anything on your computer or make any changes, it will simply display your settings).

Once you have your system settings on screen, click the “Export PDF” link and send as an attachment to techsupport@3plearning.com.

If Mathseeds is running slowly on your device, your internet speed might be affecting its performance.  Click this link to access an automated website that will show you your computer’s internet speed. (Don’t worry, it won’t access anything on your computer or make any changes, it will simply display your settings).

Click the green “Begin Test” button and the on-screen dial will test your upload speed (sending data from your computer) and download speed (receiving data to your computer). Pass this information on to our technical support team so they can diagnose the problem.

Your browser will “remember” the web pages you have visited, in order give you a faster viewing experience online. Often, after an update to one of the 3P Learning platforms, you may need to clear your “cache” (your computer’s memory of websites you’ve visited) in order to load the newest version of the website. Click here to find out more about your cache and how to delete your temporary internet files.

1. Log into Mathseeds as a Teacher or Subscription Coordinator
2. Click on the ‘Management’ tab on the left hand side of the screen
3. Select ‘Manage Students’ from the list
4. Click on the box next to the students you wish to print login cards for
5. Click on the “Print Logins” button

This will open in a separate window, where you will be able to download a PDF document to your computer hard drive.

1. Log into Mathseeds as a Teacher or Subscription Coordinator
2. Click on the “Management” tab on the left hand side of the screen
3. Select “Manage Students” from the list
4. Click on the “Print Certificates” button
5. Select the tick box box next to the student’s name
6. Click on the “Email Certificates” button

A pdf with the certificates are sent to the email address associated to the account

Note: You can also download the certificates to your hard drive by pressing on the “Download” button next to the applicable student’s name

1. Log into Mathseeds as the Subscription Coordinator
2. Click on the ‘Management’ tab on the left-hand side of the screen
3. Select ‘Manage Teachers’ from the list
4. You will see a section at the top of the page called “Add Teachers to your school”. Complete the following fields:

– First Name
– Last Name
– Email Address
– School

5. Click on the ‘Go’ button

1. Log into Mathseeds as the Subscription Coordinator
2. Click on the ‘Management’ tab on the left hand side of the screen
3. Select ‘Manage Students’ from the list
4. You will see a section called “Add a new student” at the top of the page. Complete the following fields:
– First Name
– Last Name
– Select Class from the dropdown list
(Only select if classes have already been created, otherwise leave blank)
– Select Year from the dropdown list
5. Click on the ‘Go’ button

Note: We have the capability to move a student’s Mathseeds profile over from their previous school. The following information is required to do this:

– First Name
– Last Name
– Name of previous school
– Class/teacher of which the student will be assigned to

3. Select ‘Manage Students’ from the list
4. Click on the “Add Existing Students” button
5. Click on the box next to the students you wish to add to the class from the list
6. Click on the ‘Add to Class’ button
7. Click on the “Choose a Class” dropdown and select the class name from the list, not the name of the teacher
8. Click on the ‘Add’ button

4. Click on the tick box next to the name of the student you wish to remove from the school roll
5. Click on the ‘Remove from class’ button
6. Select the class in the “choose a class” list
7. Click on the “Remove” button

Note: The student must be unassigned from both Reading Eggs and Mathseeds classes before the student profile can be deleted from the student roll. Follow the same process in Mathseeds.

2. Click on “Management” on the left-hand side of the screen
3. Select “Manage Students”
4. Find the name of the student from the list and select the Edit button next to their name
5. Click into the Password field and change the student’s password

Note: Passwords must be more than 3 characters long

6. Click on the Save button

2. Navigate to the “My Avatar”.  You will be able to select a variety of items in the change room. They have a number of free items to choose from in addition to extra accessories they can buy from the Shop. To pay for these items, they will need “golden acorns”, which they earn by completing lessons and puzzles. They need to visit the Shop and buy these items before they go to the change room.

Mathseeds provides automated reporting on each students’ progress and achievements. These can be accessed from your teacher dashboard.

Mathseeds has been created specifically for the needs of early maths learners. Designed to ensure key concepts are learned in depth, this greatly improves long-term retention. Mathseeds understands young learners need to be engaged and entertained if they are to stay on task.

The lessons build mathematical skills in number, counting and operations, as well as algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis and probability. The content is sequenced to ensure it is in line with current educational pedagogy.

Mathseeds lessons and activities encourage students to make connections between their real-world experience and mathematical thinking. New skills and concepts are taught in a context that is relevant, familiar and interesting. This promotes active engagement and helps students to remain focused and on task. Mathseeds also rewards students in a variety of ways, which keeps them motivated to keep learning.

All Mathseeds lessons follow a similar structure. Each lesson focuses on a particular mathematical competency, with instructional lessons followed by student practice. Skills are reinforced with nine different activities per lesson and an e-book that reviews the lesson’s key concepts. Students are rewarded with golden acorns and a new pet that hatches at the end of every lesson.

The Mathseeds placement test will place each student at the level that matches their ability. This test is offered to all students when they begin the program. Teachers can also change a student’s level at any time, as well as reset the placement test.

Make sure you have the latest version of Chrome on your tablet. Open the Chrome browser and type chrome://flags on the address bar and press enter. Scroll down and look for “Enable WebAudio”. Enable it and relaunch the browser.

If you have tried to reset your password and you need to reset each time you log in, you may have the correct password but the wrong username. Your username is recorded in the email that is sent when you reset your Mathseeds account password.

The Playroom is a section for young students who are just starting to learn the very basics. The next stage is the lesson maps. The Playroom consists of fun interactive activities.

Go to the Treehouse and click the blue arrow pointing up. Once on the next floor, press the plus sign (+). Choose your item by dragging it into position.
