The Story Factory is a wonderful destination in the Reading Eggs (ages 5-11) world where students of all abilities can create and publish their own storybooks using an easy step-by-step guide.

The top stories are shortlisted by the Reading Eggs team and are displayed the following week in the Story Factory Showroom. Students can then vote for which story they think is best from the shortlist! To make sure your story is submitted into the competition, please include “WBD” in the story title.

Votes for the best story are counted at the end of the week. The submission with the highest rating is the winner of the Story Factory Competition!*

*Note: The Story Factory may contain entries from students not taking part in the World Book Day competition. If a student not taking part in the competition wins, the highest-rated World Book Day competition entry will be the winner of the prize.

The story-writing factory is absolutely brilliant and is a great way of encouraging reluctant writers to have a go.

They (The books) are modern in their presentation and look engaging, and there is a lot of material to choose from in the library. I love that you can select reading ages when choosing books. We would recommend Reading Eggs to another school.
